Catja Christensen



Catja Christensen (she/her) is a Northern Virginia native and lifelong dancer/dance scholar/dance writer. She is currently based in London, where she is a Fulbright Scholar earning an MA in Dance Practice and Performance from the University of Roehampton, studying the ethical preservation and performance of multicultural dance forms. She has interned and written for Pointe Magazine, Final Bow for Yellowface, and The Oslo Desk focusing on classical ballets for modern audiences.

She graduated from Connecticut College in 2023 with a Dance and English double major. A highlight from her collegiate dance career was a 2 week dance research trip to Ghana, in which she studied and practiced West African dance in Accra, Kumasi, and Cape Coast. Additionally, she was Co-Editor-in-Chief of The College Voice her senior year. She also graduated from The Washington School of Ballet's professional training program in 2019.
