Artificial Intelligence Policy

 

Writing and Editing

At thINKingDANCE, we value the human work, creativity, expertise, and care that go into the craft of writing. We do not use any forms of AI in our writing or editing. We also do not accept guest submissions or new writer applications utilizing AI. We value and prioritize our ongoing commitments to independent journalism, and human-centered creativity. 

 

Operations and Communications

We do not use AI to generate graphic, video, or written content for our website, newsletter, or social media. We do utilize third party applications that may have AI tools built into their platforms (i.e. Google, Quickbooks, etc.). We also recognize that external operations consultants may use AI in their interactions with our data. Whenever possible, we do not use AI tools for our internal operations.

 

AI Training and Crawling

We prohibit the use of our website content to train AI models. This is in accordance with our Creative Commons license. As stated on the Creative Commons website, “CC BY-ND and CC BY-NC-ND prohibit creating derivative works. Following the NoDerivatives restriction would require that ND-licensed content not be used as training data.”
