Ellen Chenoweth



Ellen Chenoweth recently relocated back to Philadelphia after 5 years as the Director of the Dance Presenting Series at the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago. Previous positions include Managing Director of the Dance Exchange in Takoma Park, Maryland, and Director of Development and Communications at Pig Iron Theatre Company in Philadelphia. As a freelancer, she has worked with Nichole Canuso Dance Company, Christopher K. Morgan & Artists, the Lumberyard, and Headlong Dance Theater, among others.

She was named as one of the “The Fifty People Who Really Perform for Chicago,” by New City Magazine in 2022. Chenoweth was on the Board of Directors for Links Hall and a Consortium Member of the Chicago Dancemakers Forum. She has served as a grant panelist and nominator for national opportunities as well as numerous state and city arts funding bodies.

Ellen has an MA in Dance from Texas Woman’s University and a Graduate Certificate from the Institute for Curatorial Practice in Performance at Wesleyan University.
