Upping the ante on dance coverage and conversation

Garamh Kim

Garamh Kim (Ed.M., CMA) is a dancer and educator who creates embodied experiences through movement, memory, and emotion. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Dance Department at Temple University. Her research focuses on progressive dance pedagogy in higher education, exploring the transformative experiences of both teachers and students in dance classrooms. She is interested in the affective and emotional dynamics of learning, and the assemblage of classroom collaborators—teachers, students, accompanists, technologies, and the learning environment—all of which interact and shape the educational experience. Garamh has presented her research at several conferences, performed at the Philadelphia Fringe Arts Festival, and serves on the board of the Pennsylvania Dance Education Organization (PaDEO).
