Seth Abkemeier

Seth Abkemeier is a dancer, choreographer, and writer raised in the rural town of Waverly, Iowa. Fueled by nomadic tendencies, a passion for dance, and a curiosity of his self identity as a gay man, in 2019 he moved to Phoenix, Arizona to dance at Scottsdale Community College with their company Instinct Dance Corp. In pursuing his dance performance career he recently received his BFA in Dance at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. He has worked with notable choreographers such as Mike Esperanza, Joy Davis, Tareake Dorill Ramos, Spencer Dennis, Andy Noble, CoGravity, and DualRivet. Currently Seth dances with Whirlwind Dance Company in Columbus, Ohio under the direction of Joshua Manculich, and hopes to continue his exploration of the vast dance community.
