What are you most excited to cover through TD?
Originally, I wanted to write about cultural politics, but now I find myself enjoying the challenge of reviews.

Which part is challenging, scary, difficult?
Bridging the gap between what I hope to do as a writer and what I’ve been able to accomplish so far.

What is the TD project really about, in your experience?
Asking questions about dance and dance writing, broadening the Philadelphia dance audience and community, connecting with a talented group of people who are equally passionate about dance and writing, fostering community in a discipline that can be so solitary… learning, learning, learning a lot!

What is your “desert-island” publication?

I don’t think I’ve found it yet, but I imagine it’s an impossibly large book of stories.

If you never see another _______ again, it will be too soon.

What would your parents say about your work in the arts?

I think they’re equal parts proud and confused.

If you were to write a dance love-letter, it would be to__________.

Does dance need meaning to be meaningful?
