K.J. Holmes is a dance artist, actor, singer and writer who explores improvisation as process and performance through the lens of somatics, poetics and experience.  She resides in Brooklyn NY where she is an adjunct at NYU/ETW and at Movement Research and travels worldwide teaching and performing.  She first studied with Nancy Stark Smith in 1981, and holds her to be one of her most valued teachers, inspiration, and friend.
