Kyle Rucker

Kyle Rucker is a choreographer, lighting designer, and dance filmmaker born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Houston, TX. As a dancer, Kyle earned the opportunity to collaborate with exceptional choreographers like Adele Nickel, Colette Kerwick, and Netta Yerushalmy. During his time at Sam Houston State University, Kyle created seven stage works and one film, receiving an Outstanding Choreographer Award from Chi Tau Epsilon in 2023. Kyle received his BFA in Dance from SHSU in 2024 and now serves as the Production Specialist for the SHSU Department of Dance where he will continue expanding the reach of all his creative practices.
