Upping the ante on dance coverage and conversation

Leslie Bush



Experimental performance and visual artist Leslie Bush earned a Master of Fine Arts in dance choreography and performance from Temple University in 2017, and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, with a focus on contemporary dance, from Indiana University in 2012. Currently, she teaches dance improvisation and modern dance technique as an adjunct instructor at Rowan University, and at community art centers throughout Philadelphia. Leslie was a 2018 recipient of a Small But Mighty Arts professional development grant, which she used to take classes on 3D scanning, modeling, and printing at her local maker-space. Her choreography and improvisational work have been presented in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, the Old City Festival (Philadelphia), and Abington Arts Center (Abington, PA). Leslie has presented workshops on improvisational movement in Philadelphia, and Geneva, New York. Her other writing can be found in the online publication, Dancer Citizen.
