Lisa Bardarson
Lisa Bardarson has been interacting with the Philadelphia dance
community since the early 1980’s and has danced with South Street
Dance Company, Dance Conduit and independent choreographers
Philip Grosser and Jano Cohen, to name a few. Bardarson has received
numerous awards and commissions and served on the board of
the Philadelphia Dance Alliance as well as Committee Chair for the
Ellen Forman Memorial Scholarship Fund. She was a teacher for the
Delaware Institute for the Arts in Education and taught anatomy and
kinesiology through private workshops and at universities in the region.
In addition to her own choreography, Bardarson’s eclectic background
includes in-depth study at the Laban Institute for Movement Studies and
a fifteen year practice in bodywork. She is currently challenged by the
athleticism of triathlon. Her keen interest in swimming and the spatial
support of water make the dream of becoming more fishlike an exciting
possibility!
