Editor's Note: TD is Two!

by Lisa Kraus

In October 2011 we held our first workshop and one month later our first article was printed, so thINKingDANCE is a healthy two-year-old now.

Our stable of writers has continued to evolve, with many on board  from our group’s beginnings, some joining in a year later, several moving on to other work or geographies, and two new writers coming on board this fall. We’ve kept meeting with guest teachers and for in-house led experiences to develop our craft and intelligence in dance writing. We keep going to out-of-the-way places and to as many events as we can cover, and we keep working on devising what feel like fresh ways of approaching the dance that's around us.

I’d like to thank everyone who has had a part in helping us move forward, including those who stepped up to support our first Indiegogo campaign this May, those who have partnered with us by offering space or tickets, and those who read and comment on the site!

From within thINKingDANCE, here are the people who make it go:
The Editorial Board—Megan Bridge, Lynn Matluck Brooks, Kirsten Kaschock, Lisa Kraus, Carolyn Merritt
The Head of Education—Anna Drozdowski
The Communications Team—Kalilia Kingsford Smith, Becca Weber

Many happy returns, and thanks to all!
Lisa
